Stacy Meeks, Account Manager

How long have you worked for Excalibur?

More than 9 years.

What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for?

My addictive personality and astounding ability to actually listen to a client’s needs. I’m great at account management for events and believe my knack is customer service. I find the best solution and turn that into reality.

What’s the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?

Finding creative solutions to meet our clients’ budgetary needs while still giving them what they want.

What do your ideal clients say about you?

“I’ve finally found the one to make all my event dreams come true.” OK, that may be a bit silly, but any proof would be in the professional relationships and friendships I’ve made along the way and in the continued business that I’ve been able to bring forth.

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work and the contribution you can make?

Few people have asked me why I do what I do. It’s a simple answer — someone needs help and I help. My passion is finding out what a person’s basic exhibit or event needs are (via phone call, scribble on a napkin, or whatever) and bringing that into reality with an entirely livable environment where they can achieve their goals. For me it is the whole process — from concept to execution to reality to reward. If I can make that happen for them, I have succeeded!

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

Amsterdam – and don’t roll your eyes! Not for reasons others think. It was the first European city I was able to visit, and I found the people there to be so friendly. The food was nice and I had a great time shopping. I’ve never seen so many bicycles in my life – even multistory parking garages for them. Not to mention the canals everywhere. It’s straight out of the late renaissance moved to modern day.

Any volunteer activities you’re crazy about?

Volunteer and crazy in the same sentence! Well, my cats seem to volunteer me daily to spoil them, and then there is the outside strays that expect the same treatment. I feed my inside crew of two, then turn around to find a choir of fuzzy faces outside my window wanting the same. I’m such a sucker!

What would be impossible for you to give up?

Labeled dividers – dangit! If your event is that big then your paperwork migrates from the expandable file folder to the categorized binder! There, I said it! I’m a GEEK! It goes without saying; the electronic files are retentive too.

Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?

Up to my armpits in gardening, but I love it!
